About me

I’m a Belgian (1980) creative with a passion for paint and clay. I work independently and mostly self-taught.

My prime expression in life was ballet until in my adult life I discovered clay. In pottery I lost myself in the best way possible. Later on a good friend introduced me to paint. It has become an outlet for all that life throws at me.

Nowadays I combine both, also on canvas. I love to discover new textures and materials in a constant search for different ways to express art. Despite my eye for detail, I am averse to fixed patterns and structure. To me life is about exploring, going off road to perceive my dreams. You may call me a wanderer, a free spirit.

My quest

My desire is to give people a sparkle in life every time they look at one of my pieces in their homes. A breeze of happiness, stilness. Art can provoke emotions of all kind, but only if we let it. I aim to encourage people to let their minds drift away more often and connect to one’s true self. I believe art can do that.

My inspiration

I find inspiration in the people closest to me, even though they may no longer be with me. My late brother who was a wood artist himself. He followed his own exceptional path in life, constantly evolving in his creativity. My other muse is my grandmother who died at an early age. She was way ahead of her time artistically and still lives through her art nowadays. When in doubt they lift me up, inspire me to continue my path and pursue to challenge myself.

About my work

To make art is to connect to my true self and let my mind drift. There’s hardly ever a thought out plan. It often begins with an idea and then some force takes over, I feel an urge and my mind is no longer active.

My tribe

None of this would be possible without my family. My greatest support. My crazy, lovely bunch.

Infinitely grateful.
